What are cataracts?
Cataracts are when the natural lens in your eye develops cloudy patches and starts to restrict your vision. When this starts to happen, it often gets worse over time and may require a straightforward surgical procedure. You can read more about the procedure on the NHS website here.
Pre-cataract assessment.
We will assess your vision, prescription and health of the eyes, which is necessary to refer you for a cataract surgery. On this appointment the cataract referral will be made to your choice of provider.
Post cataract assessment
We will assess your visions, prescription and health of the eyes, usually around six weeks of having the cataract surgery. At this appointment we will see what spectacles, if any are needed
